In section 9 the Valley Central softball team has been the team to beat for the last few years. The Vikings have won back to back sectional titles and on Saturday they were looking for the three-peat.

Minisink Valley was looking to spoil and grab the class AA crown from Valley Central.

Warriors with a 1-0 lead, bottom 1 Vikings get it back, Leanna Feerick knocks it to deep right center it bounces out of the fielder’s glove. Taylor Concklin scores we're knotted at 1.

Next it's Julianne Holbert she grounds it through the gap into center 2 runs are going to cross the plate its 3-1 Valley Central.

then bottom 3 bases loaded, Alex Hraniotis drills it to deep right it hits off the top of the wall that clears the bases for a 7-1 lead for the Vikings.

Warriors not going down without a fight. Christina Roberto slices one into right field 2 runs score it's 7-3.

But Valley Central just kept adding on, the pitcher Cindy Connoly helping her own cause with the bloop single to score a run. Vikings are able to hang on and complete the three-peat, they win this one 9-4.
