ALBANY, N.Y. -- To mark the formal start of the no smoking ban, teens joined up at the food court to celebrate through dance.
At 5 p.m., teens simultaneously busted a move to thank Crossgates for protecting kids from tobacco. Not only does the flash mob coincide with the mall's butt ban, it also happens to be "World No Tobacco Day."
The teens involved also thought this was the perfect opportunity to spread the word about teen smoking.
"We did the flash mob to thank Crossgates because it's a great thing to do and to just expose the harmful tactics of the big tobacco like Phillip Morris," flash mob participant Tim Williams said.
According to the flash mobbers, participating in this flash mob was so important because 90 percent of lifelong smokers start in their teens.
