SARATOGA COUNTY, N.Y. -- An 18-year-old Saratoga County man has pleaded guilty to criminally negligent homicide in the death of a Ballston Spa girl.

The Saratoga County District Attorney says Brian Vecchio, of Ballston Spa, admitted he acted negligently when he lost control of the truck he was driving. Police say 17-year-old Noelle Johnsen was a passenger in the truck when Vecchio tried to pass another car going 98 miles an hour in a no passing zone, before losing control and crashing into a utility pole. Johnsen was killed in the crash.

Veccio is scheduled to be sentenced in August.
