INTERNATIONAL -- The World Health Organization is calling attention to the health problems caused by tobacco today with "World No Tobacco Day." The WHO has designated the day every May 31st.
This year's theme is "tobacco industry interference." The WHO says the campaign focuses on exposing and countering the industry's aggressive attempts to undermine global tobacco control efforts.
The organization says tobacco use is one of the leading preventable causes of death and it kills nearly six million people worldwide each year.
