DWI arrest under Leandra's Law

By: Web Staff

WASHINGTON COUNTY, N.Y. -- A Fort Edward man is charged under Leandra's law after police said he crashed his truck while drunk, with his girlfriend and nine-month-old child with him.

Washington County Sheriffs Deputies said Jacob Printy, 21, lost control of his Ford Ranger and crashed into a drainage cover off Mcintyre Street Saturday evening. Police said Printy's blood alcohol content at the time of the accident was twice the legal limit.

His 9-month-old child and 22-year-old girlfriend were in the truck at the time. The child was secured in a car seat and wasn't injured.

Printy was charged for aggravated DWI and endangering the welfare of a child.
