The Section II baseball playoffs continued on Saturday with semifinal games in four of the five classes. Only AA had the day off.
In class A, the top seed Glens Falls, the 5th ranked team in the state, is taking on Catholic Central.
Top of the 3rd with still no score, with a runner on 1st Mike Sunkes helping his own cause. The pitcher drives one over the centerfielder's head. Jack LaRoux scores all the way from first on the standup triple to make it 1-0 Crusaders.
Bottom of the inning with a runner on 3rd. James Rizzo lifts one to left, the leftfielder makes the catch, but Dylan O'Sick tags on the play and the game is tied at 1.
Bottom of the 4th, Indians threatening with the bases loaded no outs. Logan Akins grounds out to Sunkes who gets the force out home, but the ball goes into right field trying to get the double play at first, then the ball gets away trying to get the runner at home. Two runs score on the errors to give Glens Falls the 3-1 lead.
The Indians add another in the inning to make it 4-1 and they're moving onto the Class A Sectional Final with the 4-1 win. Advance to Thursdays Class A title game at Joe Bruno Stadium at 7 p.m.
