ALBANY, N.Y. -- The Albany Fire Department welcomes 15 new firefighters during a swearing-in ceremony.

Albany Mayor Jerry Jennings says he is confident the men will take on their new responsibilities with great integrity.

"Albany firefighters have devoted their lives to making our capital city a safer place for residents and visitors," the mayor said. "I'm proud to recognize their commitment and dedication. Let's give them a round of applause."

The ceremony took place in the Rotunda at Albany City hall.
