ALBANY, N.Y. -- Funeral arrangements for former Albany Councilman Nebraska Brace are scheduled for this week.

Brace served on the Albany Common Council for several years. In addition to his political career, Brace also wrote a memoir and was proud of his role in the Oscar nominated movie Ironweed, which starred Jack Nicholson.

Services are scheduled Wednesday at the Metropolitan New Testament Mission Baptist Church on 2nd street in Albany. Viewing hours will be from nine am until noon. Funeral services began at noon, followed by a burial at Graceland Cemetery in Albany.
