SCHENECTADY, N.Y. -- The Schenectady City School Board appoints a new high school principal.
Diane Wilkinson will assume the role of principal of Schenectady High, effective July 1st. She'll replace interim principal Gregory Fields.
Wilkinson is currently house principal of the Steinmetz Career and Leadership Academy, and has worked in the district for the past 21 years.
She said her recent leadership experience and a personal desire to "do more" encouraged her to pursue the position.
