SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. -- State Police have arrested a Saratoga Springs man they say forced his girlfriend and his two sons into the back of a stolen box truck at gunpoint.

State Police say Nicholas Beer, 36, was arrested Tuesday in Schoharie County following a four day crime spree. Beer was arrested and charged with kidnapping, criminal possession of stolen property criminal mischief, criminal possession of a weapon and endangering the welfare of a child. He was arraigned and sent to Schoharie County Jail.

State Police say more charges against Beer are expected.
