SCHENECTADY, N.Y. -- As part of Schenectady's monthly art celebration, some local designers, models and artists are coming together to showcase their latest styles for the fifth annual art night on Friday.
Local designers have a chance to show off collections they've made and debut them in front of a panel of judges.
Local boutique owners will attend the fashion show to see if there are any items they want to pick up to start selling at their shops.
Scotia native Laura LaFrate, an “America's Next Top Model” contestant, will headline the runway at Proctor's Friday night.
LaFrate said, "This is the area that started me out and this is the area that really gave me the push to go farther, so I really wanna do what I can to bring the support back that they gave me in the first place and I'm just so happy to be part of that."
Friday's show at Proctor's starts at 7 p.m. and entry is free.
