ORANGE COUNTY, N.Y. -- A dedication ceremony was held for a new memorial wall that honors fallen officers from Orange County.
The ceremony took place at the county courthouse where officials unveiled a second wall to commemorate officers killed in the line of duty.
Officials at the ceremony called the dedication 'bittersweet' and said you can never do too much for the people whose job it is to protect us.
''It's good that we recognize the men and women that we take for granted who go out day and night to protect us and put their lives on the line. And when you call 911, they're the folks who have to respond and put themselves in harm's way, so we really can't do enough for these folks.,' said Orange County District Attorney Frank Phillips.
Two names were added to the new wall at Friday's ceremony.
The wall was donated by Cos Colandrea, the owner of Colandrea Buick GMC and Sunshine Ford Lincoln Mercury in Newburgh.
