SULLIVAN COUNTY, N.Y. -- A Liberty man is behind bars in connection with multiple burglaries at the same residence.

Police arrested Robert Serrano, 32, after investigating a report of a home invasion burglary in Liberty. They say Serrano was climbing through a bedroom window when the homeowner noticed him. He then fled the scene, but was arrested the next morning.

Serrano was also linked to two prior burglaries at the same residence where he had taken a total of $400. He has been charged with counts of burglary in the second degree, petit larceny and one count of attempted petit larceny.

Serrano was arraigned and sent to the Sullivan County Jail.
