Albany woman arrested for Rite Aid robbery
ALBANY, N.Y. -- Albany police detectives have charged a Lark Street woman with robbery after she allegedly stole items from a Rite Aid and tried to spray a clerk with pepper spray. The incident happened around 12:30 p.m. on April 4 at the Rite Aid on South Pearl Street.
According to police, Keiaundra Worsham, 30, allegedly put several items in her purse and walked out of the store without paying for them. When she was confronted by an employee outside the store, police said Worsham pulled out a can of pepper spray and sprayed it at the clerk. The clerk was able to move out of the way and was not injured.
Police said Worsham took off with more than $70 worth of merchandise. She was arrested by detectives on Thursday and is charged with third-degree robbery.
