POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. -- The three victims killed in the massive Fairview Avenue house fire in Poughkeepsie will be remembered Friday. Roses will be delivered to Saint Francis Hospital in honor of them.
Fire officials said they could not determine the cause of the fire that killed Marist College students Eva Block and Kerry Fitzsimmons and Dutchess Community College student Kevin Johnson. They cited smoking materials, and electrical devices as potential causes.
Local officials and students from both schools are expected to attend the event. It's being held at St. Francis Hospital at 3:30 pm.
