UNITED STATES -- Gas prices continue their decline, and the New York State average is approaching the $4 mark again. AAA reported New York's average for a gallon of gas is at $4.01 today. That's down 14 cents over the last month.

Drivers in Massachusetts continue to enjoy much lower gas prices. The Bay State's average is $3.79. The average in New Jersey is at $3.67 today.

Those numbers are much more in line with AAA's national average of $3.73.
