Man arrested for damaging grave markers
GREENE COUNTY, N.Y. -- Police have arrested an Athens man they say damaged a number of grave markers at a local cemetery.
Police say early Saturday morning, Bach Lackie, 27, of North Warren Street, knocked down more than a dozen grave markers at the Athens Rural Cemetery, damaging eight of them.
Athens Police and State Police arrested Lackie after investigating the incident. He has been charged with criminal mischief and cemetery desecration and was arraigned and sent to Greene County Jail.
