Police: Four juveniles caught stealing BB guns from Walmart
ALBANY, N.Y. -- Four juveniles from Albany were arrested Thursday after police said they were caught stealing BB guns from Walmart.
Albany police responded to the Walmart on Washington Avenue Extension just after 7 p.m. after Loss Prevention officers called to report that they had caught four kids trying to walk out of the store with BB guns in their waistbands.
According to police, the juveniles - ages 11, 12, and 13 - are alleged to have opened the packaging to four handgun-style BB guns and placed them in their waistbands. They are also accused of stealing CO2 cartridges and BBs.
The four are charged with petit larceny and unlawful possession of weapons by persons under 16. They were turned over to their parents and are scheduled to appear in Albany County Family Court at a later date.
