ALBANY, N.Y. -- An early morning car crash knocks out power to the south end of Green Island.

Police said just after midnight a car was headed north on George Street when it hit two utility poles, and at least four cars before finally crashing into a porch on Hudson Avenue.

The driver was taken to Albany Medical Center. Police said speed and alcohol may have contributed to the crash.
