CARMEL, N.Y. -- Calling hours are being held today for four members of a Sullivan County family who were killed in a fire in Carmel on Tuesday. Hundreds made it out to the first day of services on Thursday.
Visitors to the Balsamo Cordovano Funeral Home saw four urns adorned with crosses and pictures of Larchmont Police Captain Tommy Sullivan, Sr., his wife, Donna, and their two teenage daughters, Meaghan and Mairead. The couple's 20-year-old son, Tommy, Jr., survived.
Carmel town police are waiting for the results of samples that were sent to State Police labs. Out of respect for the family, no new details will be revealed until after Saturday's funeral.
