STILLWATER, N.Y. -- A Schenectady man is accused of stealing a fire department credit card for his own personal use.

Christopher Cancilla is facing two counts of grand larceny. Police say he stole a credit card from the Stillwater Fire Department while he was a volunteer firefighter with the department.

According to police, Cancilla used the card to buy more than $1,500 in gas for his personal vehicle and for the vehicles of his family members.

The theft was discovered when the mayor of Stillwater found unauthorized charges on the account.
