Child left on bus for three hours

ALBANY COUNTY, N.Y. -- State Police have arrested two bus employees after they say a child with special needs was left on a school bus for nearly three hours.

State Police say on Monday, Eric Ramm, 31, a Cohoes bus driver, and Thomas Kottackal, 59, a bus monitor, dropped several kids off at a daycare in Berlin and then parked the bus at its garage in Menands. They say when the employees returned three hours later, they realized a three-year-old child with special needs was still strapped in her car seat.

Ramm and Kottackal were both arrested and charged with endangering welfare of child. The child was taken to a local hospital where she was treated for mild dehydration.
