WASHINGTON, DC -- After flying more missions than any other space shuttle, the Space Shuttle Discovery now has a new place to call home.
The Discovery said goodbye to Kennedy Space Center in Florida and is now the newest icon at the Smithsonian Institution's National Air and Space Museum in Washington, DC.
The is the first shuttle to retire to a museum. The Discovery flew nearly 149 million miles before it was retired last year.
