PHELPS, N.Y. -- A Schenectady couple was killed in a car crash in Western New York.

Deputies in Ontario County said three people died at the scene after the car they were in was broadsided by another car.

The victims were identified as Mary Halbfinger, 66, and George Halbfinger, 65, both of Schenectady, as well as Judy Young, 55 of Phelps.

The driver of the car that broadsided them, Michael Corcoran, 43, of Phelps, is in guarded condition.
