SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. -- Saratoga city leaders want to move forward on their plan to move last call in the city an hour earlier. City councilors will take up the issue at Tuesday night’s meeting.
They hope that a 3 a.m. last call would curb some high-profile incidents of violence downtown. But councilors are facing opposition from bar owners who say the move would cost them business.
The State Liquor Authority says the change would need to be made county-wide.
City leaders want to set up another public forum to gauge the public's opinion on the matter.
