Store owner and employee arrest on drug charges
ALBANY, N.Y. -- An Albany store owner and his employee face drugs charges after police say an unexpected visit to the store turned into a drug bust.
The incident happened Saturday when an officer entered the Lark News and Grocery Store on Lark Street to speak with owner Zahid Gilani.
Police say Gilani had several bags of marijuana and a scale on the store's counter and they found Arthur McDuffie, 41, an employee, with 500 milligrams of crystal meth in his pocket.
Both men face possession charges. They were arraigned Monday morning in Albany City Criminal Court.
