Fire leaves fifteen homeless

TROY, N.Y. -- Troy fire officials now said yesterday afternoons fire is suspicious. It happened around 1:30 p.m. along the 800 block of River Street.

Fire officials said the fire broke out on the second floor, but quickly spread to the third floor. Officials said six units in the building were affected, but believe the structure is not a total loss.

Tom Garrett, the Troy Fire Chief said, “A lot of damage, water, smoke, fire damage, but it can be rebuilt."

The Red Cross working with the 15 people impacted. They said no one was injured.
