ORANGE COUNTY, N.Y. -- A Maryland man was killed while behind the wheel of a tractor trailer Monday morning. It happened around 10:30 a.m. on I-87 northbound in the Town of New Windsor.

State Police say Kenneth Webb, 54, was driving when he hit the back of a Freightliner, which was parked on the shoulder due to a flat tire. According to troopers, Webb was extricated from the cab of the truck and taken to Good Samaritan Hospital in Suffern, where he later died from his injuries.

The other driver was uninjured.
