Former Albany police officer convicted of sex abuse
ALBANY COUNTY, N.Y. -- A former Albany police officer has been convicted of sex abuse.
State Police say Paul Pierce of East Greenbush sexually abused a boy over the course of two years at Pierce's home in Albany and at a camp in Chestertown.
Pierce is scheduled to be sentenced on charges of criminal sexual assault and endangering the welfare of a child on April 30th. He is also looking at similar charges in Albany and Warren counties.
Pierce was with the Albany Police department until he retired in 2002.
