ALBANY, N.Y. (AP) - A Cuomo administration task force has issued a request for information about potential energy projects from private developers, investor-owned utilities, investors and others as a step toward bolstering New York's aging infrastructure and promoting clean sources of energy.

Governor Andrew Cuomo earlier this year called for building a 21st century "energy highway" with joint ventures between the government and private sector.

Cuomo says it is a necessary foundation for the state's economic growth.

The formal request is posted online at www.nyenergyhighway.com with responses due May 30.

A conference for anyone interested is scheduled April 19 in Tarrytown.

The task force said Wednesday it will issue a plan this summer.
