MENANDS, N.Y. -- A suspected animal hoarder is expected in court today after police said more than 44 dead cats were found behind a Johnsonville home. An anonymous tipster told State Police they saw Arthur Millard leaving plastic containers in the back of the house. Police said the remains of dozens of cats and kittens were found in those containers.

The 53-year-old Millard and his son, Earl, were arrested in March after police said they neglected more than 100 cats in Saratoga County.

Officials aren't sure if the cats found in Johnsonville were from that Halfmoon home or somewhere else.
