ORANGE COUNTY, N.Y. -- A man is in stable condition, after police said he was assaulted and robbed in Wallkill.

Police said the attack took place at Cove Clam Bar early Friday morning. The victim suffered significant head trauma and was flown to Westchester County Medical Center.

Police said the suspect robbed another person who tried to intervene in the fight.

The suspect is described as a male, 6 foot 1 inches in height and is of medium build. Police ask anyone with information to call the Wallkill Police Department at (845) 692-6757.
