The Siena baseball team played in a doubleheader against Iona, Saints won game one 3-0, as for the nightcap.
Top of the 4, scoreless, Iona's Michael Chiaravalloti with a two run homer to left, 2-0 Gaels.
Bottom of the 4, Saints on the board, Brian Fay with the single to left, John Rooney scores, cuts the lead to 2-1.
Next batter, Kyle Baldani the chopper to 3rd, throw comes home and Larry Balkwill is out at the plate, it's still 2-1.
Top of the 5, Iona with runners on corners and one out, Ed Lewicki gets the fly ball to right for one out, John Rooney comes up throwing and nails the runner at home for the double play to end the inning.
Bottom of the 7, final at bats for Siena, with 2 outs, Vincent Citro bunting for a base hit, but he's out and the game is over. Iona wins 2-1, split the DH. Same two teams with one game at Noon on Saturday.
