A former school counselor is facing several charges of child rape. As our Brandon Walker reports, he currently works for the Town of Stockbridge and investigators think there may be other victims.

STOCKBRIDGE, Mass. -- Search Scott Muir and Stockbridge on Facebook and you get the man Berkshire District Attorney David Capeless says preyed on young girls.

"So, he's still being considered a risk?" asked our reporter.

"Yes. We would have to," replied Capeless.

That's because it's alleged Muir either raped or assaulted three girls while working as a School Adjustment Counselor at the former Stockbridge Plain School between 2003 and 2005.

On Thursday, Muir pleaded not guilty to laundry list of rape and assault charges, all alleged to have taken place at the school. The girls were students there at the time.

"We have three victims who have come forward and we expect that there may be others who will come forward in the ensuing weeks," Capeless said.

The alleged victims are now 16, 17 and 18 years old. The judge has imposed a cash surety bail. Muir must also where a GPS tracking device at all times and stay away from the alleged victims.

"And also not to have any unsupervised contact with any children under the age of 16," said Capeless.

YNN stopped by the Berkshire Hills Regional School District for comment, though the office was closed for the Good Friday holiday. Meanwhile, as this investigation unfolds, Capeless says parents should talk to their kids, but with reservation.

"Perhaps what they might do is mention, ‘oh, Mr. Muir, if you remember him, he has been charged by police,’ and see what reaction they get out of the kids."

Muir's Facebook page says he currently works as a Facility Manager/Emergency Management Director with the Town of Stockbridge. Town Administrator Jorja Ann Marsden declined comment.
