ALBANY, N.Y. -- Albany's Quintessence diner is currently closed after a fire broke out at the restaurant around 11: 30 p.m. Thursday.

The owner says the fire started in the basement's freezer and that it was likely an electrical fire.

The diner was closed at the time of the fire and remains closed for now.

Owner Nick Riggione said, "We've been in business here for four years. The diner has been here and operated since 1980 so it's been here a long time in Albany. It's a landmark here in Albany, and we hope to serve our customers as soon as possible."

No one was injured.

The restaurant hopes to reopen in time for Easter Sunday.
