HUDSON VALLEY -- People in the Hudson Valley saved some money this winter on heating bills.
Central Hudson officials say bills for natural gas heating customers, on average, were nearly 28 percent lower than those of last year. Electric bills were nearly 14 percent lower.

Natural gas usage was lower by 22 percent and 8 percent for electricity.
