HUDSON VALLEY, N.Y. -- When it comes to overall health, Putnam County is ranked the healthiest county in New York State. Putnam County is ranked number one out of the 62 counties in the state.

The four categories which the counties are judged and evaluated on are access to healthcare, birth measures, morbidity, and mortality measures.

According to the study, Sullivan County is on the other end of the spectrum. It came in second to last.
