NEW YORK -- New York racing regulators are hoping for more transparency when it comes to treatment of horses at the state's racing tracks. The Racing and Wagering Board has announced an online database of animal deaths, accidents, and other information dating back to 2009.

This comes as the board investigates the deaths of 20 horses at Aqueduct over the past four months.

The database includes details about incidents, horse and jockey names, and track names. The board is also posting almost 30 years of information about fines, suspensions, and other actions taken against owners, trainers, and jockeys.

You can find the database online at www.racing.ny.gov.
