HOOSICK FALLS, N.Y. -- Hoosick Falls police are looking for a man accused of breaking into his girlfriend's home and assaulting her last weekend.

Police said Edward Cook was drunk when he forced his way into his girlfriend's Elm Street home, and attacked her. Originally, the woman told police three women had broken in and attacked her, but she then told police she made up that story, because Cook threatened her.

He faces several charges including assault and unlawful imprisonment.
