SULLIVAN COUNTY, N.Y. -- A Sullivan County woman is behind bars after police said she stabbed another man in the stomach and face.

Lafrance Brown, 43, is charged with felony assault in the first degree and criminal possession of a weapon.

Police said the attack took place at the Tannery Village Senior Housing Complex on Richardson Ave in the village of Monticello.

The victim is identified as a 48-year-old male who also resides in Monticello. He was taken to Catskill Regional Medical Center and is in stable condition.

Brown is in the Sullivan County Jail without bail.
