Police issue warning about possible phone scam

By: Web Staff

HUDSON VALLEY, N.Y. -- The Ulster Police Department is warning residents about a possible phone scam in the area. According to police, many residents have said they've received calls from people who claim they work for several local fuel oil supply companies.

Police said the callers are then asking for credit card numbers to pay for a recent fuel delivery or balance.

If you have received a call similar to this, you are asked to call the Ulster Police Department at (845) 382-1111.
