Propane burn training in Newburgh
NEWBURGH, N.Y. -- Emergency personnel are taking part in a propane burn training exercise in the City of Newburgh. Members of the Newburgh Fire Department, West Point and Stewart Air National Guard are participating.
The training includes fire and vapor control and is taking place at the Consolidated Iron Site.
Fire Chief Michael Vatter said residents may see smoke and flames, but should not be alarmed. The training is scheduled to end around 4 p.m. Friday.
