TROY, N.Y. -- Downtown Troy will belong to a younger crowd than on a typical Friday night. It's the annual Kid's Night Out event.

While the monthly Troy Night Out holds its own events that usually involve art exhibits, live music, and retail shop houses, Friday night will feature a marching band, performing clowns, and activities for kids of all ages.

Special free activities will also take place at the Arts Center of the Capital Region, where kids can participate in pottery making, cookie decorating, a treasure hunt and more.

The party starts at 5 p.m. and winds down around 9 p.m.
