Body found in Hudson River identified

SARATOGA COUNTY, N.Y. -- Police have identified a body found in the Hudson River. They say 38-year-old Marcus Johnson was reported missing back in November of last year. He was last seen in the City of Albany.

Johnson worked at the Hilton Garden Inn across the street from the UAlbany campus where he had been a student through the spring 2011 semester.

Park Rangers found the body tangled in trees, about 20 feet from the shoreline at Saratoga Battlefield in Stillwater. Rangers say he was dressed in winter clothing.

An autopsy revealed that there are no signs of foul play in his death.

Police are still investigating why Johnson ended up in Saratoga County. They ask anyone with information to call 899-2319.
