Wanted man arrested after running from trooper
COHOES, N.Y. -- A traffic stop in Cohoes leads to a brief foot chase and the arrest of an Albany man who was wanted on two active warrants.
Raymond Gordon, 25, was pulled over for speeding on State Route 787 on Monday. The state trooper interviewing him discovered that Gordon was wanted in Cohoes and Watervliet for failure to appear for previous charges in those cities.
State Police said Gordon took off running but was eventually taken into custody after a brief struggle. Gordon and the trooper were both treated for minor injuries.
Gordon was arrested for second-degree assault, resisting arrest, false impersonation, as well as the two warrants. He was arraigned in Cohoes City Court and sent to the Albany County Jail without bail.
