Albany Medical Center is offering a large reward for information leading law enforcement to an arrest and conviction in a recent case. YNN's Beth Croughan shows us surveillance video that might help you identify their suspect.

ALBANY, N.Y. -- "They don't know at this point why he was at the hospital," said Albany Police Spokesperson James Miller.

Detectives with the Albany Police Department have a lot of questions for the man seen on surveillance video.

"We just want to get him identified and get him in and question him and find out what role he had here and why potentially he did this," said Miller.

They're calling him a suspect in the case they're handling at Albany Medical Center, a case that has the hospital offering a $25,000 reward.

"We know now from video surveillance he went into the cafeteria," Miller said.

On March 2nd, Miller said a hospital employee found mercury on their cafeteria food tray. A search found more in food containers. What was found, though, Miller said, wouldn't have caused health problems.

"Just the intent, that's what we're really concerned with. Because maybe the person thought that mercury would be harmful to somebody and that's what they were trying to do and if that's what they were doing, you know, that's an issue," he said.

The reward is for information leading directly to the arrest and conviction of the person responsible. Anybody with any information is asked to call the Albany Police Department's Detectives Division at 462-8039.
