ORANGE COUNTY, N.Y. -- Hudson Valley residents headed to Orange County in hopes of finding a job.

Congresswoman Nan Hayworth hosted the job fair at Anthony’s Pier 9 in New Windsor. The fair gave perspective employers a chance to meet with job seekers.

Besides the opportunity to network, counseling and resume advice was also provided.

"Got a job for 10 and a half months and that was in propane and oil. It was 50 degrees all winter, so we couldn't keep the business going, so they had to let me go. Last in, first out. So, I have been looking,” said Kathleen Garrity of New Windsor.

Employers in the fields of health care, manufacturing and retail were all on hand at the fair.
