Sunday, the Siena Saints men's basketball team hosted a game at home. But as our Beth Croughan tells us, every player walked away a winner.

LOUDONVILLE, N.Y. -- Katie Falconio, 20, celebrates after shooting a three-pointer. The Siena student had plenty of shots to celebrate on Sunday. She showcased her skills while playing with her school's basketball stars. The Saints were back on the court after the season's end as they host the Shooting Stars basketball league. The league is designed for local youth with developmental disabilities.

"Interacting with the kids, make sure they feel at home. Just make sure that they're comfortable," explained Siena Point Guard Evan Hymes of the day.

This is the fifth year in a row the men's basketball team has teamed up with the Shooting Stars program. But throughout the year, the Siena Soccer and Cross Country teams also get together with the group.

"And they go to the Siena games and they support them too. But they get so much out of seeing that people in their position have time for us and teach them basketball too," said Shooting Stars Coordinator Gail Wrieden.

But what players on both teams got Sunday was the chance for some fun.

"We had a good time today," said Hymes.

"It was awesome to have fun with the other kids," said Falconio.
