ALBANY, N.Y. -- The latest report from the Greater Capital Association of Realtors confirms the Capital Region housing market shows signs of improvement and that the market appears to be regaining balance.

Realtors say the market remains a buying one.

The president of the association says the number of contracts of sales from February is 47 percent higher then those of February 2011.

After a strong January, sales have increased 37 percent year to date over 2011. The report shows the market appears to be active as it gains its balance, which helps our economy here in the Capital Region.
