FRANKLIN COUNTY, N.Y. -- Crews have downgraded the search for a missing Tupper Lake teenager. This comes a week after more than a thousand volunteers, police, and Forest Rangers began the search for Colin Gillis.

Several personal items of his were found along State Route 3 in Tupper Lake last Monday, but no other signs have been found since.

On Monday, Forest Rangers continued searching the waters and shorelines in kayaks. A DEC spokesperson said search and rescue teams will continue to do spot searches, and helicopters will do periodic flyovers.

Police said Gillis was last seen leaving a party early in the morning on March 11th.
